About: Container fumigation is the treatment of a commodity or the container itself to eliminate the risk of pests or disease from entering or leaving the country or state.

Container Fumigation Solutions: Tarped fumigation is the primary way of fumigating containers. The container is covered with a gas proof fumigation tarp and sand snaked around all of the edges to achieve and maintain a gas seal.

ACTION

Container fumigation involves the treatment of contents of the container to eliminate the pests from entering or leaving the country. In general a container comes in two sizes – 20 or 40 feet, however, there are variations to these, which include oversized containers (high cubes, soft tops and refrigerated containers). There are requirements by Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) regarding buffer zones around a fumigated container.
